A two-compartment centrifugal pump with a fully immersed rotor assembly is made largely of plastic. It has one bearing (3) made in one piece with the compartment wall (1) and the other in one piece with the bearing support. Alternatively a separate bearing bush with the same coefficient of thermal expansion as the housing is molded into position.
