<p>A shot peening method capable of producing the same peening effect as that given by a plurality of shot peening steps, e.g. producing a compression residual stress deep from the outermost surface, and producing a peak value of a compression residual stress on the outermost surface, while capable of enhancing a peening work efficiency due to a one-step peening and reducing running costs and equipment costs. The method is characterized in that a shot blasting material formed by combining, in specified weight ratios, two or three kinds of fine particles having specified average grain size ratios and different average grain sizes is shot blasted onto a product to be subjected to peening.</p> |
