A passenger airbag device is formed of a casing, an airbag, a lid, thick plates for connecting the lid to the casing, and an inflator. The thick plates are fixed to inner surfaces of side walls of the casing by spot welding. Hooks formed integrally with the thick plates project outside of the casing through holes formed in the side walls of the casing. The lid is secured to the casing by engagement between holes of the lid and the hooks. In the airbag device, the thick plates can be easily fixed to the casing to provide large reinforcement effect to the casing. |
