The ground anchor comprises a cylindrical pin (2) for driving into the ground, and a cylindrical coupling piece (6) forming an extension of the pin. A disc-shaped base plate (4) extending at right angles to the anchor length direction is provided in between the pin and coupling piece, and protrudes beyond the coupling piece.
