The regulator has an oscillator (110) generating a rectangular control signal (C) with a variable duty cycle, which changes to compensate supply (Valim) voltage fluctuation. The control signal operates on the gates of two transistors (Q1,Q2), which combine to shunt the load and to provide series regulation of current. An inductance (25) in series with the load (20) smoothes the current.
