The gas laser has additional cooled gas enabling an increase in the laser pulse rate. The procedure for excitation of the high frequency discharge in a gas laser includes provision of a basic current of mixed laser gases. In the region of the output of the gas, in the space between electrodes (1,2) there is a supplementary current of mixed gases (6) which is cooled and electrically neutral. the gas is cooled by a radiation element (5) , and passes through a dust filter (7). The supplementary gas channel may be provided by means of holes (9,10) which pass through at least one electrode. |
