SUBSTANCE: described is method of combined preparation of 1-(alkoxy)-2- phenylalumacyclopropane of formula I: and 1-(alkoxy)- 2,4-diphenylalumacyclopentane of formula II: wherein R is n-C6H13,n-C10H21,CH2Ph. Method comprises reacting styrene with alkoxydichloroalanes of general formula: RO-AlCl2 and metallic magnesium at 10:(10-14):(10-14) molar ratio, respectively, in the presence of zirconium tetrachloride catalyst in argon atmosphere in tetrahydrofuran under normal conditions for 6-10 hours. Method makes it possible to prepare both 1-(alkoxy-2- (phenylalumacyclopropane and 1-alkoxy)-2,4- diphenylalumacyclopentane having high regioselectivity.
