An animal harness comprises first and second straps(2:40for surrounding the belly and lower neck area of the animal the upper ends of the straps on each side connected to upper straps(5:7)adapted for adjusting the harness symmetrical length and having at their upper ends shackles(12:14)for coupling to a leash where releasable clip(10a:10b)connects the upper straps together and can be positioned at a desired location along the straps to suit the animal size and third strap(24)passing along the animals belly connects the first and second straps.
