<p>An adjustable dynamic, removable, mechanical foot leverage orthotic assembly is disclosed having a plate member (14, 15) positioned on top of one or more fulcrum member (16, 23, 24, 26) that are placed inside of a shoe. The plate (14, 15) is free to move within the shoe about the fulcrum (16, 23, 24, 26) to provide the wearer with mechanical improvement of abnormal, functional and associated foot pathology and can directly and indirectly effect the entire gait cycle. The foot leverage assembly can be integrated into the shoe design or can be inserted within a conventional shoe to create a foot leverage assembly. A method of improving the efficiency of motion of a wearer of a shoe containing the assembly is also disclosed. The foot leverage assembly may also be used in conjunction with a foot mapping system. <IMAGE></p> |
