PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cook rice appropriately, controlling the discharge of generated steam to outside. SOLUTION: A steam discharge path 38 on a lid 2 for making the inside of this rice cooker to communicate with the outside consists of a first discharge path 7 and second discharge paths 32, 37. The first discharge path 7 has a first vent for discharging steam having passed a pressure regulating hole 10 directly to the outside. The second discharge paths 32, 37 have a second vent 31 for discharging steam having passed the pressure regulating hole 10 directly to the outside after letting the steam flow in a dew condensation space 37. In the preheating process, the pressure regulating hole 10 is opened, a first vent 8 is closed and a second vent 31 is opened. In the pressure cooking process, the pressure regulating hole 10 is closed, the first vent 8 is opened and the second vent 31 is closed. In the steaming process, the pressure regulating hole 10 is opened, the first vent 8 is opened and the second vent 31 closed.
