PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the marking in a required position by nipping a resin coated steel pipe between a printing piece and two rollers opposed to the printing piece, rotating the printing piece and the two rollers together around the resin coated steel pipe as the type of the printing piece is bitten thereto. SOLUTION: A marking machine 1 is located so as to put the circumferential surface of a resin coated steel pipe 2 in a clearance, and a bias arm 22 is grasped, whereby the resin coated steel pipe 2 is nipped between a printing piece 11 and two rollers 21, 21, and a printing fitting screw 18 is advanced and retreated to regulate the position of the type 13 of the printing piece 11. When the marking machine 1 is rotated around the rein coated steel pipe 2 in the state where the resin coated steel pipe 2 is nipped between the printing piece 11 and the two rollers 21, 21, and the type 13 of the printing piece 11 is bitten into a coating resin 2a, the printing piece 11 is rotated forward about a support pine 12 while pressing the resin coated steel pipe 2 along the circumferential surface thereof to mark the resin coated pipe 2 by the type 13.
