PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a low-pressure double glazing improved in durability and environmentally benign as well, not only outstandingly shortened in pressure- reducing time but also improved in the mechanical strengths of the exhaust tube. SOLUTION: This low-pressure double glazing is such one that two glass plates 2, 3 are placed at a specified interval, spacers 4 holding the interval are set up, the peripheral rims of the panel is fused and sealed to afford a low-pressure space; wherein each one corner of the two glass plates is cut off slantly so as to afford a convexly curved shape outside when viewed from above, part of the cut portion is abutted with a straight exhaust tube 6 with its one end cut slantly, and the exhaust tube is substantially accommodated in the cut and removed part. |
