TREATMENT OF COPPER-REFINING INTERMEDIATE PRODUCT AND WASTE BRICK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably crushing a refining intermediate product and a waste brick to the particle size suitable to the repeat use to a refining furnace by using an existing crusher and ball mill and eliminating the engagement with copper metal by the crusher. SOLUTION: Before supplying the matter to be treated to a crusher 3, the copper metal detected by a metal detector 7 utilizing eddy current is removed from the matter to be treated, and the removed copper metal is supplied to the ball mill as an alternate of a ball. The upper limit and the lower limit of sensitivity are adjusted by adjusting the eddy current strength of the metal detector 7.
