<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method and device for correcting the condition of abnormal rolling in a rolling mill which can evade the condition of abnormal rolling in the rolling mill previously. SOLUTION: The future condition of rolling is predicted on the basis of each measured value of the thickness or the like on the inlet and outlet sides of the rolling mill 1 and, when the deviation between the predicted condition of rolling and the normal condition is over the reference value, it is judged as the future abnormal condition and the cause of generation of abnormality is estimated by applying the predicted value of the condition of rolling which is judged as the abnormal condition of rolling and each measured value to a cause estimating rule. Based on the estimated result, the predicted value of the condition of rolling and each measured value are applied to the correcting/controlling judging rule and, by executing the correction of each control parameter or a controlling/commanding value of the rolling mill 1, the abnormal condition of rolling is prevented.</p> |
