<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the balance of a head by forming a shaft insertion hole in the sole part of the head and mounting a shaft receiving pipe which is inserted with a shaft and is molded as a separate body from the head between this shaft insertion hole and the shaft insertion hole of a top part. SOLUTION: The head 33 of the golf club 31 consists of three component parts; the top part 35, a face part and a bottom part integrally molded with the sole part 39 and side parts. The shaft insertion hole 45 is opened on the heel side of the top part 35 from the apex of the top part 35 and the shaft insertion hole 47 is opened on the heel side of the sole part 39 in correspondence to the shaft insertion hole 45. Both ends 49a and 49b of the shaft receiving pipe 49 are respectively inserted and supported into the shaft insertion holes 45 and 47 in the head 33. The shaft receiving pipe 49 is welded to the inner peripheral surfaces of these shaft insertion holes 45 and 47 and both ends 49a and 49b thereof are respectively made flush with the outside surfaces of the top part 35 and the sole part 39.</p> |
