PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for closing a pipe-end of a steel pipe for steel- tower structure, which can be executed easily to an existing steel tower and has high reliability and the cost of which is reduced. SOLUTION: A joint member 3 projected in the axial direction from openings 6a, 6b is fixed to the openings 6a, 6b of the pipe end 1a of the steel pipe 1. Foams 7a, 7b being slightly larger than the shapes of the openings 6a, 6b and having resiliency are formed previously to the opening sections of the steel pipe 1, and the foams 7a, 7b are inserted into the steel pipe 1 without removing a bolt B for connection from the openings 6a, 6b. The openings 6a, 6b are filled with sealing materials 8a, 8b, nets 9a, 9b made of a resin are stuck onto the sealing materials, and surfaces are finished.
