PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To replace automatically a worn wire brush with a new wire brush by automatically detecting an extent of wear of a wire brush. SOLUTION: A wire brush 45 for cleaning a blade of a cutting tool used to cut a work is provided at a tip of a rotating shaft 51. A first actuating member 55 is provided slidably on a periphery of a brush rotating device body 49 which bears the rotating shaft 51. Wear of the wire brush 45 is detected by a limit switch provided at a brush end. The first actuation member 55 moved in accordance with a detected signal detaches the wire brush 45. A brush replacing arm 65 is provided rotatably from a standby position to a brush replacing position opposing to the rotating shaft 51. A second actuating member 71 is provided slidably on an outer periphery of a tip of the brush replacing arm 65. The brush replacing arm 65 carrying a new wire brush is moved rotatably to the brush replacing position. Then, the new wire brush is detached from the brush replacing arm 65 by the shifted second actuating member 71 and fitted automatically to a tip of the rotating shaft 51.
