PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a user to use both hands by means of resting an umbrella by attaching a cylindrical piece of rubber to the tip of the umbrella and constituting it not to slip and fall when it is separated from a hand. SOLUTION: This cylindrical piece of rubber 2 is attached to metallic fittings in the tip of the umbrella 1 by covering it, which is for shielding a body from rain. Then the umbrella 1 is constituted not to slip and fall when it is rested against a wall or the like or when it is rested without holding it by hand in the case of reading a book or the like on the seat of a train. Therefore, it is unnecessitated to be watchful to continue holding the umbrella 1 and to prevent it from falling so that it is convenient when the both hands are used.
