PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope device capable of obtaining the information on a biological function such as oxygen saturation degree with excellent accuracy by obtaining an observed image by the light of narrow bandwidth, and obtaining the observed image which is sufficiently light and less in noise when the distance of an object is large. SOLUTION: A rotary filter plate 14 has filters different in transmission bandwidth, and when a filter position control circuit 40 drives a motor 16 to move the position of the rotary filter plate 14, the transmission bandwidth of the filter to be inserted on the illumination optical path from a lamp 11 is switched. A dimming circuit 39 controls the filter position control circuit 40, and increases the operation accuracy of the information on the biological function by an operation circuit 36 between images by narrowing the transmission bandwidth of the illumination light when the image is light, or the illumination light quantity is increased by expanding the transmission bandwidth of the illumination light when the object is far and the image is dark.
