PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device and an X-ray computed tomograph which contribute to a higher operability in the switching of displaying a plurality of tomographic images and a higher diagnosing capacity by the display of an intermediate image of adjacent tomographic images at a discrete position interval. SOLUTION: When a rotary dial of an input device 6 is manually operated by an operator, a dial operation signal is generated to reflect the degree and the speed of rotating operation. A display processor judges the degree of the rotating operation of the rotary dial based on the dial operation signal to display a tomographic image at a position corresponding to the degree on a display 5 as interest image. The display processor further performs a switching of displaying the interest image by judging the speed of the operation of the rotary dial based on the dial operation signal.
