PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transport roller capable of preventing a flexible support from sticking without damaging the coated surface of the support. SOLUTION: A transport roller 21 is used to transport a flexible support 20 continuously. Since the surface of the transport roller 21 is covered with a hard carbon film to obtain the surface with good slidability, sticking is precluded without damaging the coated surface. Example of the hard carbon film is sputter carbon film, DLC film or the like.
