PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give appropriate pliability and elasticity and also impart a natural color tone by mixing barks crushed in the form of fibers with sand and using a resin binder or an asphalt binder setting agent as a binder. SOLUTION: A crusher run is evenly laid on a leveled ground and pressure- rolled to form a crushed stone roadbed, on which, in turn, the woody pavement is applied. The woody pavement is prepared by blending a crushed material of a fibrous form obtained by crushing conifer barks, sand a redispersible powder emulsion, high early strength cement and water. This mixture is evenly laid on the crushed stone roadbed using a rake and is pressure-rolled using a hand guide-type vibrating roller to form the woody pavement. The woody pavement obtained as described shows a woody natural color tone and gives pedestrians a feeling of softness and the pavement surface is well drained.
