PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of weld defects due to deformation of members by forming a bent part or a thick part at the end of a lower member to be superposed, increasing the rigidity of the lower member and absorbing weld heat at the joined part. SOLUTION: A bent part 3 is formed at the end of a lower one 2 of the members 1, 2 to be lap fillet welded such as aluminum materials. The bent part 3 is such that a part of the member 2 projects downward to form nearly the same thickness as that of the plate member. In arc-welding the members 1, 2, the rigidity of the member 2 increases, suppressing the deformation due to weld heat. In addition, the tip end of the bent part 3 becomes a heat pool, preventing the proximity of the weld zone A from being excessively affected by heat. As a result, no gap is caused at the weld zone A; in other words, no separation is caused between the members 1, 2, enabling sufficient weld metal to be formed at the weld zone A. Incidentally, in place of the bent part 3, a part of the lower member 2 may be protruded downward to form a thick part.
