PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle with a lock having the temporary fixing function of a sliding door, in which the sliding door can be fixed temporarily and simply so that the sliding door does not open without reason only by installing a handle to the sliding door while locking by a key is conducted. SOLUTION: The handle with the lock has a handle body 1 mounted and fixed to the sliding door, a toothed retaining tool 2 being rotatably supported to the handle body 1 and capable of being retained on the fixed side, a knob 3 rotating and operating the toothed retaining tool 2, and the cylinder lock 6. The handle comprises a rotary cam 5 turned by operating a key, a toothed cam 4 rotatably disposed to the rotary cam 5 concentrically while being engaged with the toothed retaining tool 2, and a pin 44 implanted to the toothed cam 4 inserted into an arcuate cam formed to the rotary cam 5, and the toothed retaining tool 2 is turned through the pin 44 and the toothed cam 4 by rotating the rotary cam 5 by operating the key while and the rotary operation of the toothed retaining tool 2 by the knob 3 is controlled by the rotary cam 5.
