PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photocatalyst sheet that has excellent deodorization effect and flame retardancy and is effective for environmental countermeasure in homes for the aged, hospitals and the like by allowing the photocatalyst having a photo-reactive semiconductor to contain synthetic fibers of an acrylonitrile- vinylidene chloride copolymer. SOLUTION: The pulp slurry including the flame-retardant synthetic fiber of an acrylonitrile (A)/vinylidene chloride (V) copolymer at a ratio of (A) to (V) of 10/90-90/10, preferably 50/50-80/20 is combined with a photoreactive semiconductor, for example, titanium oxide and microfibrillated cellulose for increasing the yield of a variety of powders, in addition, 10-40 wt.% of a polyester fiber binder, 5-30 wt.% of an adsorbent and 0.5-10 wt.% of an inorganic binder are added to the resultant mixture. Then, the mixture is subjected to paper making to give the objective photocatalyst sheet that has 50-500 g/m2 of the basis weight and the flame retardant function.
