PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an epoxy resin composition having excellent curability, heat resistance and electric characteristics. SOLUTION: This epoxy resin composition comprises an epoxy resin, a carboxylic acid ester of a polyhydric phenol-formaldehyde polycondensation product as a curing agent, and preferably furthermore a curing accelerator such as a quaternary onium salt or a crown ether complex.
