PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly connect piles to each other in a fall-stopping state while reducing working cost smaller without taking much trouble for connecting work. SOLUTION: A cylinder part 21 is provided on one pile end part, a shaft part 11 is provided on the other pile end part, an inward groove part 22 along a peripheral direction is formed on a cylinder part inner peripheral surface part 5 of the cylinder part 21, an outward groove part 12 along a peripheral direction is formed on a shaft part outer peripheral surface part 6 of the shaft part 11 so as to face against the inward groove part 22, and a key member 3 free to diametrically deform is formed free to be stored in a state of retiring deep from inlets 12a, 12a of either of the groove parts 12, 22. Thereafter, the cylinder part 21 and the shaft part 11 of the adjoining piles fitted on each other are made free to be connected to each other in a fall-stopping state by forming the side to be fitted in at the time of being diametrically deformed into a tapered surface T narrower than opening width of the inlet of the other groove part and fitting the key member 3 by straddling over the inward groove part 22 and the outward groove part 12.
