PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition which is effective for improving the skin conditions and also has a high safety and useful as a cosmetic by including galactosylceramide, etc., an oily component and a specific copolymer and no surfactant besides one such as galactosylceramide. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) preferably 0.05-0.5 wt.% of at least one surfactant selected from galactosylceramide and glucosylceramide, (B) an oily component such as squalane, and (C) preferably 0.1-5 wt.% of a copolymer of acrylic acid with an alkyl methacrylate, and no surfactant besides galactosylceramide or glucosylceramide. This composition is useful for improving undesirable skin conditions such as dryness of the skin and an atopic dermatitis.
