<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular controller suitable for improving responsiveness in starting by performing automatic start control of an engine in a vehicle having an automatic transmission without a sense of incongruity. SOLUTION: This vehicular controller for stopping an engine when the stopping conditions of the engine are established and for starting the engine according to shifting of a shift lever 6 from the neutral position 6 to the traveling position is provided with a detent mechanism 10 for holding the shift lever 6 in the neutral position when a shift lever 6 is in the neutral position (N), and a shift button 6a for releasing holding of the shift lever in the neutral position by the detent mechanism. When the shift button 6a is pressed and operated, the engine is started.</p> |
