PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating a polymer capable of carrying out crosslinking in order to respond to recent environmental problems, unbinding the crosslinkage of a crosslinked polyethylene according to a certain method after the crosslinking and melt reshapable into an optional form. SOLUTION: This silane compound has a chemical structure represented by the following general formula and is capable of carrying out silane crosslinking of a polyolefin resin such as polyethylene by using the silane compound in which Z is an atomic group containing an (S)n bond in the main chain, Z is an atomic group containing an ester group in the main chain or Z is an atomic group containing an unsaturated hydrocarbon bond in the main chain, cleaving the crosslinkage or reducing the degree of crosslinking by a chemical treatment after the crosslinking and regenerating the polyolefin resin reshapable by melt molding.
