PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for yarn doffing of a winder, capable of smoothly carrying out doffing regardless of the winding diameter of wound package and obtaining a package having excellent winding appearance and reeling properties. SOLUTION: In a winder having plural bobbin holders, successively doffing and continuously winding a yarn, the surface velocity of a winding package in transferring a yarn from the winding package to an empty bobbin is made to a value higher than the surface velocity of the package during a regular winding and the condition of the surface velocity of the package in the doffing is selected from two or more preset conditions.
