PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment method of a high C-containing stainless steel slab, with which various kinds of parts composed of the high C-containing stainless steel can easily and surely be forged, and a producing method of the stainless steel-made parts utilizing this heat treatment. SOLUTION: The heat treatment method of a high C-containing stainless steel slab comprises an annealing process S1, in which the high C-containing stainless steel slab is heated (h) at a temp. just below A1 transformation temp., e.g. at 800 deg.C and held (s1) for a prescribed time (t), and a process S2, in which, thereafter, the stainless steel slab is slowly cooled to <=700 deg.C. The steel slab air-cooled after slow-cooling process S2 is warm-forged at 500-400 deg.C or cold- forged at near room temp. to form a prescribed shaped stainless steel-made parts. In this heat treatment method, since the structure of the steel slab, such as martensite, is not transformed into austenite, and the hardness can surely be lowered to <100 HRB, even when this steel slab is forged, crack is not developed and the parts excellent in the shape dimensional precision can be formed.
