摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a vehicle-to-vehicle distance at a specified deceleration without degrading the drive feeling by setting the target deceleration based on the detected or operated relative speed, own vehicle speed and vehicle-to- vehicle distance, and controlling the specified deceleration of a vehicle according to the target deceleration. SOLUTION: A control means 4A operates the relative speed by a relative speed operating means 4A1 based on the information on the vehicle-to-vehicle distance from a vehicle-to-vehicle distance detecting means (a vehicle-to-vehicle distance sensor) 1. The target deceleration is set from the preset map by a target deceleration setting part 4A2 based on the information on the relative speed and the vehicle-to-vehicle distance, and the own vehicle speed to be detected by the vehicle speed detecting means. The target deceleration, and the specified deceleration signal to be determined by the own vehicle speed from the vehicle speed detecting means 2 are outputted to a braking means 5 from a specified deceleration control part 4A3. A rear-end collision caused by the insufficient vehicle-to-vehicle distance can be prevented with high probability by implementing the specified speed control.
