PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the restoration of hydrophilicity and antifogging property by subjecting the rear surface of glass having a specific or lower Sn concentration of the glass surface to reflective coating, thereby applying a simple cleaning treatment thereto. SOLUTION: A mirror 1 formed by subjecting the rear surface of the glass 1 of <=2% in the Sn concentration on the glass 1 surface to the reflective coating is used. As a result, even if the contact angle of the mirror 1 surface with water rises to >=20 deg. and the stainproof and antifogging properties are lost, the hydrophilicitiy may be restored to a high level by subjecting the surface of the mirror 1 to a cleaning treatment with a surfactant. Stains are hardly stickable and the maintenance of the hydrophilicity for a long period of time may be expected. Water washing, detergent cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, etc., may be effectively used as the washing treatment of the mirror 1 surface although these treatments depend upon the degree of staining. The restoration of not only the appearance but the hydrophilicility of the high degree as well is possible after the cleaning treatment and, therefore, the antifogging, surface cleaning, antistatic and other effects are again exhibited.
