PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cushioning capacity and resistivity against repetitive use and to elimite occurrence of scratch traces for a sash by a method wherein a sash protection member is formed of a specified polyolefine beads foam and insertion grooves for inserting attachment flanges therein are formed at the surface of an inside corner of the member while band grooves for holding bands are formed at the surface of an outside corner of the member. SOLUTION: A sash protection member A to be provided at each of corners of an external frame 1 of a double-sliding type sash is formed of polyolefine beads foam in an L shape. The polyolefine beads foam is made up respectively in the 5-45 times of expansion ratio and in the 0.069-1.08 Mpa of compressive strength. Then, two insertion grooves 2 each in a thin width are formed in parallel with each other at the surface of an inside corner corresponding to the external frame 1, and projected parts 4 are formed alternately on the right and left at the internal surfaces of these grooves. On the other hand, two band grooves 5 for housing holding bands for fixing the sash protection member A to the external frame 1 are formed at the surface of an outside corner of the member, and a single band groove 6 is formed in the direction intersecting the band grooves 5 at a right angle.
