An intruder resistant screen (1) including a frame comprising elongate frame members (3) each having a channel section (5) engaging a respective corner stake (10) in each end thereof. A woven wire intruder resistant mesh (4) covering an opening enclosed by the frame in which the mesh (4) has spacings no greater than 2.2 mm. There are a plurality of clamping members (6, 7) coacting with respective fasteners (8) to thereby clamp the mesh (4) to the frame.
