PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold forming mold excellent in strength with a slight eccentricity, a method for producing the mold and an apparatus for producing the mold. SOLUTION: This mold forming mold is produced by pressing a base member 18 in the direction of holding members 16 and 17 with a transfer base mold 15 having a transfer molding surface 15b in order to provide a lens molding surface of a prescribed shape using the base member 18 comprising a glass softening at a high temperature and the holding members 16 and 17 holding the base member 18 without causing eccentricity and compounding and integrating the base member 18 with the holding members 16 and 17 while forming the lens molding surface in the base member 18.
