PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a specific new aromatic polyfunctional vinyl ether suitable as a polymerizable compound for providing a cured material having low skin irradiation, excellent coating performances and adhesivity, useful as a coating agent, an ink, a coating material, an adhesive, a resist, a plate making material, etc. SOLUTION: This compound is shown by formula I R is a group of formula II or formula III [R1 is a 1-5C alkylene; V is H or a vinyl ether of a formula (R2-I-)q-CH=CH2 (R2 is a 1-10C alkylene; q is 0-10)]; n is 0-200} such as (p- octyloxyphenyl)phenyliodoniumtetrakis[3,5-(bistrifluoromethyl)phenyl] borate. The compound of formula I is obtained by vinyl etherifying a phenol modified silicone compound with acetylene, etc., in the presence of a basic compound by using a catalyst (e.g. potassium hydroxide, etc.), preferably under normal pressure to 50 kg/cm2 at 60-200 deg.C for 6-12 hours.
