PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture unit needing no shaking device, requiring no skill for its operation, and reduced in fear of being contaminated as well. SOLUTION: This culture unit is intended to disperse microorganisms in the interior of a porous form 2 carrying a medium containing active ingredients for growing the microorganisms to culture them, and so designed as to have the porous form 2 carrying the culture medium, a case 1 holding the porous form 2 inside, and an openable opening on part of the case 1 so as to charge or discharge via the opening a sample or culture medium to be subjected to the test for the presence/absence of microorganisms.
