PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive tape which is used for batteries, enables the unemployment of a separator due to good peelability, scarcely elutes a mold release agent when used after a thermal treatment, is thin and has high heat resistance. SOLUTION: This adhesive tape for batteries comprises a substrate comprising the synthetic paper, non-woven fabric, woven fabric or knitted fabric of aromatic polyamide fibers, an adhesive layer prepared by coating the surface of the substrate with a silicone based adhesive, and a mold-releasing layer which is disposed on the back surface of the substrate and consists mainly of a fluororesin or a fluorinated silicone resin.
