PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition excellent in film-forming properties and capable of giving a film excellent in weathering resistance, staining resistance, and flexibility, which composition comprises a water-based hydroxy- containing acrylic resin, a water-based hydroxy-containing urethane resin, and a water-dispersible polyisocyanate composition. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) a water-based hydroxy- containing acrylic resin having a crosslinkage, (B) a water-based hydroxy- containing urethane resin having a crosslinkage, and a water-dispersible polyisocyanate composition, and wherein the ratio of component A to component B is 3/97 to 97/3 by weight, and the ratio of the total of components A and B to component C is 100/1 to 100/300 by weight. Component A is an acrylic resin obtained by polymerizing (meth)acrylic acid or at least one derivative thereof and is in the state of a dispersion in an aqueous medium. Component B is a urethane resin having a number of urethane bonds in the main chain, obtained by reacting a polyol having at least two hydroxy groups in the molecule with a polyisocyanate having at least two isocyanate groups in the molecule and is in the state of a dispersion in an aqueous medium.
