PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external wall panel open-joint structure and an external wall panel which can reduce the number of component parts, and can realize cost reduction and productivity improvement. SOLUTION: An external wall panel 1 is formed by mounting a panel frame on an exterior decorative member 4, and the panel frame 5 includes a frame member 6 which includes an open joint forming portion 6b and serves as an open joint forming member. By virtue of the open joint forming portion 6b of the frame member 6, a joint 2 between the external wall panels 1, 1 is made into an open joint. The frame member 6 which serves as the open joint forming member is constituted of a molded item made of a rust-preventive surface- treated steel sheet.
