PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the length of a flaw scratched on an outer peripheral surface of a metallic pipe. SOLUTION: This insertion joint comprises a first fit-in portion 12 formed with a straight pipe large diameter portion 12a and a taper portion 12b, on an end part; a joint body 11 having a second fit-in portion 14 provided on the first fit-in portion 12a through a connecting part 13; an elastic seal member 15 arranged on the second fit-in portion 14 of the joint body 11 and elastically contacted with an outer peripheral surface of a metallic pipe 2 inserted from an insertion port 14a and an inner peripheral surface of the second fit-in portion 14; and a coming-off preventive member 16 arranged on the first fit-in portion 12, formed with a projection 16a pressed on the outer peripheral surface of the metallic pipe 2 inserted in the joint body 11, and when pulling out force acts on the metallic pipe 2, freely moving integrally with the metallic pipe 2 in the straight pipe large diameter portion 12a until the taper 12b in order to abut on a taper inner peripheral surface 12ba and prevent the metallic pipe 2 from slipping off the joint body 11. Therefore, the length of a flaw scratched on the outer peripheral surface of the metallic pipe 2 is shortened to suppress deterioration of sealing performance and certainly move the metallic pipe 2 by low load.
