PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the long side direction folding mechanism of a canvas bed by which a flat bed surface and a smooth frame are obtained without an obstructive projection and without a weak point in terms of strength in the case of using it and the canvas bed is folded to be thin in the case of folding it. SOLUTION: Another bar shape material is pivotally attached to the end part of the bar shape material as frames by an inclining shaft which is arranged in the lower part and made to be immediately under the opposite material in the case of rotation, the tension of canvas, which works on the bar shape material is received by an opposite force receiver 8 disposed in a part lower than the bar shape material as in the shaft 4, the respective center points of the three are arranged on one straight line. When the both side frames are made to be close and reduced in a short side direction, they are superimposed with a little deviation in the long side direction and, then, they mutually evade the projecting part.
