<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment apparatus using a photocatalyst capable of decomposing a harmful component being an org. compd. in waste water with high efficiency. SOLUTION: In a water treatment apparatus, a reactor consisting of a light transmissible reactor inner pipe 3 housing a light source 2 being a fluorescent lamp to be arranged in a vertical direction and a reactor outer pipe 4 surrounding the inner pipe 3 and having a photocatalyst 1 supported on the inner peripheral wall thereof and having a gap between the pipes 3, 4 as a flow passage of waste water 5 containing an org. compd. and an air diffusing device 11 arranged to the inner bottom of the reactor outer pipe 4 to discharge air are provided and a waste water supply port 1 is provided to the lower end of the reactor outer pipe 4 while a purified water discharge port 9 is provided to the upper end thereof. The air diffusing device 11 supplies air so as to form air bubbles larger than the gap between both pipes 3, 4 in the waste water flowing in the flow passage.</p> |
