PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint capable of facilitating the work of connecting longitudinal and horizontal members to each other, and stably connecting and fixing these members. SOLUTION: A joint connects and fixes longitudinal and horizontal pipes 21 and 30 by oppositely arranging a pair of joint bodies 11 formed by bending metal plates, and fastening both connecting parts 31 with a bolt 34 and a nut 35. Each joint body 11 is provided with a holding part 20 fitted to the peripheral surface of the longitudinal pipe 21, and a supporting part 29 fitted to the peripheral surface of the horizontal pipe 30. Further, an engaging part 20a is formed in a hook shape in the tip of the holding part 20, and a locking part 29a is formed in the tip of the supporting part 29. A locking surface 29b notched in an oblique direction is formed in the tip and base end parts of the locking part 29a, and when the pair of joint bodies 11 are engaged oppositely to each other, each locking surface 29b is abutted on another to be locked.
