摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an yield by aligning edges of bar steel stocks separated by a flying shear in a rolling line by the use of a stopper, thus reducing an excess length of bar steel stock edges cut away by cold shear cutting in a downstream stage. SOLUTION: In an edge aligning device 34 for shape steel stock which consists of a slotted carrying roller 35 for carrying shape steel stocks such as a plurality of bar steel stocks 14 at a time in parallel and a stopper unit 12 disposed in a downstream of the carrying roller 35, an air cylinder 28 is disposed at an end of a supporting shaft 27 of the stopper unit 12. The stopper unit 12 which is capable of shifting laterally in one slot width of the carrying roller 35 perpendicularly to a carrying direction 23 of shape steel stock through operation of the air cylinder 28 permits an edge aligning which can follow a carrying pattern of the bar steel stock 14.
