PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous hollow body made of slurry. SOLUTION: A slurry (clay is put into a plastic container and water and water glass is added, which is mixed together by a mixer into a liquid form) 2 is applied onto the surface of an inflatable hollow body such as a rubber balloon 1. If air is let out of the balloon under conditions that the slurry is not completely dried, the surface of the slurry contracts so that recesses and protrusions are formed on the surface, and hence the surface area of the slurry per unit area increases. Under such conditions, the balloon 1 and the slurry on the surface thereof is held and dried. If sawdust, charcoal, expanded polystyrene, cork piece are mixed into the slurry and sintered, a porous ceramic ware having a large surface area, on which numerous recesses and protrusions (wrinkle) are formed, is obtained.
