PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner wherein a blower is disposed above a filter formed cylindrically by bending a strip in a plurality of chevrons, an opening at an upper end is made larger than that at a lower end, a ventilation resistance is decreased, and low power demand, low noise and miniaturization of a blower can be achieved. SOLUTION: In an air cleaner wherein a filter room 5a storing a filter 5 formed cylindrically by bending a strip in a plurality of chevrons, and a blower room 6a storing a blower 6 above the filter room 5a are provided, and air is sucked from an outer face of the filter 5 to an inner face by the blower 6 and cleaned, a diameter of a track 5b1 of a circle formed by connecting respective chevrons 5b of an outer periphery of the cylindrical filter 5 is formed the same from an upper end to a lower end, and an opening by a circular track 5c1 formed by connecting respective chevrons 5c of an inner periphery is made larger in the upper end face than that of the lower end face.
