PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter installation device durable against use for a long period by improving facilitation of work for replacing a meter. SOLUTION: In this meter installation device fitting a slide pipe 21 for pipe connection capable of protruding/retracting to a base part 2 to press energize the slide pipe 21 by a spring 24 for making the slide pipe 21 connectable to a pipe body part 7b of a meter 7 arranged in a position opposed to the slide pipe 21 while to retreat the slide pipe against energizing force of the spring 24 by a jig 45 for making connection releasable with the meter 7, a lock body 37 capable of locking one part 48 of the jig is formed in the base part 2, also a lock body 36 pressed by the jig turned with the lock body 37 serving as the center is formed in the slide pipe 21, further in order to apply pressing force of the jig to act in a retreating direction X of the slide pipe 21 relating to the lock body of the slide pipe 21, a relative position of the lock body 37 or a shape of the jig are set.
